Born on Monday the 7th of May 1962, Wale Onaolapo is currently the Chairman of Davisther Brokers Limited, Lagos, Nigeria. Wale completed his West African School Certificate Education in 1980 at the Adekile Goodwill Grammar School in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. He started work in insurance in 1981 and gained additional professional and academic qualifications while working. Wale obtained Diploma in Journalism in 1985 from the London School of Journalism.

He followed this up with the Associate Diploma of the Chartered insurance Institute of London (ACII) in 1992 and also obtained the Master of Business Administration (Marketing Management) degree from the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria in 1998. Wale was also among the graduating class in 2001 of the Advanced Management Programme (AMP) of the Lagos Business School of the Pan African University, Lagos, Nigeria.

A seasoned professional with entrepreneurial bent, Wale served in various companies where he acquired very wide experience in the business of insurance at different levels. He was with Liberty Assurance Company Limited (1981-1986), Ban-Doy (Brokers) Company (1986-1990), Femi Johnson & Company, Incorporated Insurance Brokers (1990-1992), Unitrust Insurance Company Limited (1992), International Standard Insurers Limited (1992-1994), Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc (1994 to 2015). Wale has also promoted a number of companies solely or in conjunction with others in pursuit of entrepreneurial dreams.

Wale has also been extensively involved in other activities in the community. He served as a Member, Electoral Committee, LASUMBA Managers Association of Lagos State University in 1998. Wale was President of the Just Men Fellowship of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Gbagada, Lagos from February 2002 to February 2006. He was also elected President of the AMP 12 Class Set of the Alumni Association of Lagos Business School in November 2003 and served in that capacity till November 2010.

Having served in various capacities at committee levels in the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos, Nigeria, he was eventually elected as the Chairman of the Table Tennis Section of the club in February 2007 and served in that capacity till February 2009. An adept Table Tennis player, Wale has won over 30 trophies to his credit in several tournaments organized by the Ikoyi Club 1938.He switched from playing Table Tennis permanently in 2017 to the game of Golf and has been an avid Golf player up till date.

In June 2010, Wale was elected into the Governing Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and served in the Council up to June 2019. He remains committed to making effective contribution to the development and growth of insurance profession and business in Nigeria.

Wale and his wife Titilayo live in Lagos, Nigeria and they are the parents of three children.
